The fall board meeting of the Pennsylvania Labor History Society is Friday, September 16, at 12 noon at the Atlas Cement Museum, 1401 Laubach Avenue, Northampton, PA.
At 2 p.m. (same location) there will be a general membership meeting with the following agenda.
- Minutes from Spring Meeting
- Treasurer’s Report
- Future Events/Programs
- Nominations and Election of the Officers and Board Members of the Pa Labor History Society will take place for the term of 2011-2015.
At 5:30 p.m. cocktails will be served prior to the Annual Awards Dinner to be served at 7 p.m. at the Northampton Memorial Community Center located at 1601 Laubach Avenue, in Northampton, PA. (Download brochure)
On Saturday, September 17, registration, coffee and donuts, will be at 9:00 a.m. Then, at 9:30 a.m. there will be an historical presentation "Remember 1910 in Lehigh Valley" by Ron Ennis, APWU Local 268, Lehigh County Government Center, 7th & Hamilton Streets (South East Corner), Allentown, PA. At 11:30 a.m. there will be a marker unveiling commemorating Labor Temple at 7th & Hamilton Streets (South West Corner) in Allentown, PA. I hope to see you all there.
